Version 1.1

We are currently in the process of planning out version 1.1. and looking for funding opportunities to expand the SCD.

Release: Unreleased - TBD. Latest version: 1.0 (below).

Changelog:

One of the contributions of the SCD is to separate petty experiences and grand perceptions. As such, version 1.1. will focus on also including sources which do not have sub-national classifications per se. This allows for more national-level data, while also strengthening the imputation methods used to develop the sub-national data:

  • Integrated the Transparency International Global Corruption Barometers (2003-2017); Asia Corruption Barometers (2020); EU Corruption Barometer (2021); Europe and Central Asia Corruption Barometer (2016); Latin America and the Caribbean Corruption Barometers (2017-2019); Middle East and North Africa Corruption Barometer (2016-2019).

Further, we also expanded the sub-national database:

  • Integrated Afrobarometers wave 3 into SCD, leading to the inclusion of COUNTRYYEAR.
  • Integrated Afrobarometers wave 9 into SCD, leading to the inclusion of COUNTRYYEAR.
  • Integrated the LAPOP 'The Seligson Political Culture Survey Archive', leading to the inclusion or expansion of Albania, 2004; Bolivia, 1998; 1999; 2000; 2002; 2005
